Tribute to Hunter S Thompson
thanks to the dev for the daily deviation, i had no clue about it and logged in after like 2 weeks of not logging in to 700+ messages. I swear i got spammed or something.. 1) its not meant to be deep thought out art piece with everything in place. It's just supposed to be fun 2) sorry about the brush credits, I have a huge collection on my drive and had no idea where I got any of them anymore but whoever did em thanks. 3) for those of you who don't "get it" it said San Francisco because it was shot in San Francisco (not las vegas) and for those who dont know who HST is, read a book EDIT: Uploaded without any brush or text art so now i don't need to credit anyone but myself  Daily DeviationGiven 2009-02-03Fear and Loathing in San Fran by ~darkctyle (Featured by $fangedfem) |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. They are pretty and summery.
However I think the black and red text/splatters doesn't really...fit with the picture somehow. If it was done in photoshop maybe play with layer settings to give it a more natural feel?

From an illustration standpoint, I think the black splatters could be just a little more considered in order to complement the photo; while the type feels spot-on, they need just a LITTLE tweaking in order to achieve the same level of cohesiveness.
That said, I do think you've managed to approximate Steadman's singular style rather well; nicely done!
